Save recordings in a cloud

Before the cloud service can be activated, an email account must be stored in the recorder.

 

Use the recorder

I. Activate cloud service in the recorder

  1. Drag your mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen and click on the leftmost icon mceclip0.png.

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Enter your password and click Unlock.
  4. Then click on Disks and Cloud.

  5. Activate the Cloud storage option and select your cloud (Dropbox or Google Drive) then click Activate the cloud.

  6. You will then receive an email to the email address stored in the recorder with the instructions for activation by the cloud provider.

 

II. Enable cloud video recording through motion detection

  1. Navigate to the Alarm menu and then to Motion alarm.

  2. Scroll right in the table and activate the options Picture to Cloud and / or Video to Cloud. A maximum of two cameras can upload the video recordings to the cloud in parallel.

 

 

Use the computer

I. Activate cloud service in the Bascom Client

1. Click Remote setting remote_config.jpg.

2. Navigate to Device and then Cloud.

3. Activate the Cloud Storage option.

4. Choose between Google Drive and Dropbox for cloud type (further procedure is described with Google Drive).

5. Select MP4 as the Video Type.

6. Click Activate Cloud.

7. An activation code and further setup instructions from the cloud provider appear. Click on the link and follow the instructions to activate the cloud.

8. Click on Save.

 

II. Enable cloud video recording through motion detection

1. Click Alarm and then Motion.

2. Activate the Cloud Video option

3. Set the corresponding channels under Channel for the Cloud Video option.

4. Click on Save.

A maximum of two cameras can upload the video recordings to the cloud in parallel.

 

 

Use the smartphone

  1.  Tap Settings App_Men__icon.png.

  2. Tap on Recorder Settings and then on your recorder.

  3. Select Cloud and activate the Cloud Storage option.

  4. Select the appropriate channel that should save the videos to the cloud and the cloud type. The driver name is also the folder name in the cloud. You can adapt these to your requirements.

  5. Tap Activate Cloud and follow the on-screen instructions.
