Reset recorder to factory settings

Use the recorder

If you have a recorder with the model number ending on the letter N (Example: BSM-R8XN) you can perform a factory reset using the reset button on the backside of the device. To do so, make sure the recorder is turned on and press the reset button for at least 10 seconds and it will be set to its factory defaults. - For all other models please follow the steps as described below. 

1. Drag your cursor to the bottom of the screen and click the leftmost icon .

2. Click on Settings.

3. Enter your password and click Unlock.

4. Click on System and then on Maintenance.

5. Click on Load Default.

6. Check all options.

7. Click on Apply.

8. The system will restart automatically. The recorder is then in the same condition as when it was delivered.

Use the computer

1. Click on Remote setting .

2. Navigate to System and then to Maintenance.

3. Click Load Default.

4. Activate all options and then click Save.

5. The recorder is now reset to the default settings and restarts automatically. You then have to restart the Bascom Client.
