Recorder firmware upgrade

If you need the latest firmware, please send us your device type and software version of the recorder by email to info@bascom-cameras.com. We will then send you the latest firmware for your recorder.

 

Use the recorder

Step I: Find the device type and software version:

  1. Drag your cursor to the bottom of the screen and click the leftmost icon mceclip0.png.

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Enter your password and click Unlock.

  4. Click System, and then click Information.

  5. You can find your device type under Device type and the current software under Software version.

 

Step II: Perform firmware upgrade

  1. Unzip and copy the firmware (file extension .sw) to a USB stick and connect it to the recorder.

  2. Drag your cursor to the bottom of the screen and click the leftmost icon mceclip0.png.

  3. Click on Settings.

  4. Enter your password and click Unlock.

  5. Click System, and then click Maintenance.

  6. Select Upgrade and click on Select file and select the file from your USB stick.

  7. Click OK and then click Upgrade (top right).

  8. Enter your password for authentication.

  9. The recorder will restart automatically. Then check the current software version as written in step I.

   

 

Use the computer

Step I: Find the device type and software version:

  1. Click Remote setting remote_config.jpg.

  2. Navigate to System and then to Information.

  3. You can find your device type under Device type and the current software under Software version.

 

Step II: perform firmware upgrade

  1. Unzip the file you received from us.

  2. Click Remote setting remote_config.jpg.

  3. Navigate to System and then to Maintenance.

  4. Click on Upgrade and use Scan to select the location of the downloaded firmware.

  5. Click Start.

  6. The recorder will restart automatically. As soon as you receive the message "Network Connection Failed" in the lower left corner, the recorder restarts and carries out the upgrade. This process can take up to 5 minutes.

  7. Then check the current software version under System and Information.
