How to reduce reflections on license plates

Depending on the position of the cameras, the license plate may reflect at night. To prevent this, the HLC (Highlight compensation) option of the camera can be activated.

 

Use the recorder

  1. Drag your cursor to the bottom of the screen and click the leftmost icon mceclip0.png.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Enter your password and click Unlock.
  4. Click Cameras in the navigation and then click Image control.
  5. Click on the cogwheel icon.
  6. Activate the option HLC. After you activated this option the new item Level appears below.
  7. Choose the level depending on the reflection. The higher the level, the less reflections are visible.
  8. Right-click on the menu to save the settings.

 

Use the computer

  1. Click Remote Settings mceclip1.png.
  2. Navigate to Channel and then Image Control.
  3. Activate HLC. After you activated this option the new item Level appears below.
  4. Choose the level depending on the reflection. The higher the level, the less reflections are visible.
  5. Click Save to save your settings.
