Replace female RJ45 connector

If moisture has entered the female UTP connector, it is likely that the connector needs to be replaced. In this manual you can read step by step how to replace the connector.

Step 1

Cut off the old connector from the camera:

Strip the white cable from the camera and then also strip all the UTP wires:

Step 3

Connect the new connector cable color to color with the old cable. You can solder the connection for a perfect connection. When you have made the connections, insulate the UTP wires with electrical insulation tape. For a watertight seal, you can use heat shrink tubing.
