My recorder has no internet connection, what can I do ?

A.) The recorder is connected to the router with a cable

  1. Has the connection already worked?
    • If so, has the router been replaced in the meantime or has something changed?
  2. Do you have an internet connection with other devices?
  3. Is the cable plugged into the WAN / Internet port on the recorder and into a LAN port on the router?
  4. Is the green LED lit continuously and the orange LED flashing on the WAN / Internet port of the recorder?
  5. Has the DHCP option been activated in the recorder under Settings - Network - General?
  6. Which IP address is displayed in the recorder under Settings - Network - General?                      Does this end in .1.100?
  7. If IP ends in .1.100 or DHCP cannot be activated, please reset the recorder to the factory settings.
  8. Check whether the port speed of the router for its LAN connection is set to 100 Mbit / s.
  9. If the recorder is connected to a switch, connect the recorder directly to the router and repeat points 3 to 8.
  10. If there is still no connection, please swap the cable between the router and recorder and use a different LAN port on the router.

 

B.) The recorder is connected to an external WiFi antenna

  1. Is the antenna plugged into the recorder?
  2. Has the WLAN connection been set up on the recorder? If not, please follow the instructions from our article "Setting up a WLAN connection".
  3. Has the connection already worked before?
  4. If so, has the router been replaced in the meantime or has something changed?
  5. Do you have a WiFi signal and an internet connection with other devices?
  6. Is there good WiFi reception at the location of the recorder, e.g. B. via your smartphone?
    If not, move the recorder closer to your router or use a Wi-Fi repeater.
    Is the status "Link Station: Verbunden / Connected" displayed in the recorder under Settings - Network - General - Wireless?
    If not, please repeat steps 1 to 5.
    If there is still no connection, reset the recorder to the factory settings and repeat step 2.
  7. If the connection still does not exist, please test the general Internet connection from steps            A.) 1 to 7.
