Restore a camera to factory settings
In some cases, a Bascom support representative may ask you to restore a camera to factory settings (also known as 'resetting'). This article guides you through the steps to do this safely.
- Move your cursor to the bottom edge of the screen to reveal the menu bar.
- In the bottom-left corner, click the menu icon .
- Click Settings and unlock the recorder if prompted.
- Go to System > Camera Maintenance > Load Default.
- Select the camera you want to reset and click Load Default to start the process.
- Authenticate with your current password when prompted.
- At the top of the application window, click the recorder settings icon .
- Go to System > IP Camera Maintain > Load Default.
- Select the camera you want to reset and click Default to start the process.
- Authenticate with your current password when prompted.
