Operate zoom and focus
Bascom PRO and PLUS cameras feature a varifocal lens, allowing you to zoom in and out. Unlike digital zoom, a varifocal lens provides true optical zoom, enabling you to capture finer details or expand to a wider perspective. The camera refocuses automatically after zooming, but you can also adjust the focus manually if needed.

In the main view, click the feed of the camera you want to operate.

In the controls pop-up, click the lens control icon and unlock the recorder if prompted.
- Adjust the settings as needed:
- The Step dropdown controls how fast the camera zooms.
- To zoom in or out, click and hold the or button next to Zoom (the camera will refocus automatically when you release the button).
- To manually shift the focus, click and hold the or button next to Focus.
- Auto Focus and Restore will adjust the focus automatically.

Double-click the camera feed you want to operate to maximize it.

In the top-left, click the control icon .

- To manually shift the focus, click and hold the or button next to Focus.
- AutoFocus and Restore will adjust the focus automatically.
- Double-tap the camera feed you want to operate to maximize it.
- In the top-right, click the control icon . If the icon disappears after a few seconds, tap the feed once to make it reappear.
