Correct an upside-down camera feed

Sometimes, a camera may display an upside-down or mirrored feed due to its mounting position. This article guides you through correcting the camera feed by rotating or mirroring it to ensure the proper orientation.

Use the recorder (with a monitor and mouse)
  1. Move your cursor to the bottom edge of the screen to reveal the menu bar.
  2. At the bottom-left of your screen, click the menu icon  .
  3. Click Settings and unlock the recorder if prompted. 
  4. Go to Cameras > Image Control
  5. Click the settings icon   for the camera you want to correct.
  6. Select the Vertical Flip and Horizontal Flip checkboxes as needed.
  7. From the Angle Trad dropdown, select the desired rotation angle.
  8. Right-click anywhere on the screen to save your changes.
Use the PC software
  1. At the top of the application window, click the recorder settings icon  .
  2. Go to Cameras > Image Control
  3. From the Channel dropdown, select a camera.
  4. From the Angle Adjustment dropdown, select the desired rotation angle.
  5. From the Mirror dropdown, select the correction needed.
  6. Click the Save button.
Use the smartphone app

To correct the camera view using the smartphone app, the recorder must be running firmware version V8.2 or higher.

  1. Tap the menu icon  .
  2. Go to Recorder settings and select your recorder.
  3. Go to Channel > Image ControlImage Control.
  4. From the Channel dropdown, select a camera.
  5. From the Angle Trad dropdown, select the desired rotation angle.
  6. From the Mirror dropdown, select the correction needed.
  7. In the top-right corner, tap the save icon  .
