Delete footage
To ensure security and prevent tampering, recordings cannot be selectively deleted. Instead, you can erase all stored footage by formatting the hard drive. This process removes all data at once, preserving the integrity and reliability of your recorded footage.
- Move your cursor to the bottom edge of the screen to reveal the menu bar.
- In the bottom-left corner, click the menu icon .
- Click Settings and unlock the recorder if prompted.
- Go to HDD > Disk.
- Select the hard drive you want to erase.
- Click Format HDD to erase all data on the selected disk.
- Authenticate with your password when prompted.
- At the top of the application window, click the recorder settings icon .
- Go to Storage > Storage.
- Select the hard drive you want to erase.
- Click Format Hard Disk to erase all data on the selected disk.
- Authenticate with your password when prompted.
- Tap the menu icon .
- Go to Recorder settings and select your recorder.
- Depending on your recorder type, to go:
- HDD, or
- Storage > HDD > HDD.
- Click Format for the hard drive you want to erase.
- Authenticate with your password when prompted.
