Change the retention period
By default, the recorder overwrites the oldest footage once storage is full. Setting a retention period, however, allows you to enforce a strict time limit on how long video footage is kept, independent of storage capacity. This hard cap ensures that recordings older than a specified time are automatically deleted, supporting compliance with data retention policies.
