Mount the pole mount
The pole mount (BSM-PLB) lets you install a Bascom camera, wall mount or junction box on a round pole. The supplied clamps fit poles with a diameter of 130–160 mm. The pole mount comes with 2 stainless steel clamps and the screws to fix your product.
What you need
- Pole mount BSM-PLB (includes 2 stainless steel clamps and screws)
- Bascom camera, wall mount or junction box
- Network cable, with the waterproof cable connector for outdoor use
- Flat screwdriver
-
A ladder or work platform
Step 1: Thread the clamps through the pole mount
- Loosen both clamps fully and open the bands.
- Push one band through the top slot in each side wing.
- Push the other band through the bottom slot in each side wing.
Do this on the ground. The slots are hard to reach once the mount is against the pole.
Step 2: Fix the pole mount to the pole
- Hold the pole mount against the pole at the chosen height, with the plate facing the area to monitor.
- Wrap both bands around the pole and slide each band end into its clamp screw.
- Tighten the clamps with a screwdriver until the mount does not move.
For poles outside 130–160 mm, use stainless steel clamps of a matching size.
Step 3: Pull the cable through the opening
- Feed the network cable from behind the plate through the oval opening.
-
Connect it to the cable of your camera. Use the waterproof cable connector outdoors.
Step 4: Mount your product
- Find the holes engraved with the number for your product. The hole pattern (PDF) shows which number to use.
- Tuck the cable connection behind the plate.
- Line up your camera, wall mount or junction box with these holes.
-
Fix it with the supplied screws.
Step 5: Align the camera
- Aim the camera at the area you want to monitor.
- Remove the protective film from the lens or dome, if your model has one.
Step 6: Check the installation
- The pole mount does not move or turn when you push on the camera.
- The camera is level.
- The cable is not pinched between the product and the plate.
